Tim and I recently went for an Indian curry dinner at Jaisalmer Palace Indian Restaurant. We had been hoping to go to a curry house further up the street, but it was full, and the nice man on the door at Jaisalmer had invited us in, so we thought we'd give it a go.
Jaisalmer is lavishly furnished with wooden tables and chairs, as depicted at the top of this post. They have an extensive curry menu to chose from, including vegetarian options.
I chose the Aloo Ghobi (potato, peas, cauliflower in spicy sauce) ($12):
while Tim chose the Madras beefy curry ($18):
We also ordered a plain rice ($4):
and a Kashmiri naan stuffed with dried fruits and nuts ($4.50):
All of the food was hearty and delicious, and warming for a cold winter night. The service was friendly and efficient. We'd go back to Jaisalmer Palace.
