TWD - Cheese-Swirl Babka Buns

This week’s Tuesdays with Dorie recipe is Cheese-Swirl Babka Buns.

The recipe uses a half recipe of the same brioche that we made as a simple loaf a couple of weeks ago.

The filling contains ricotta, cream cheese, shallots and cheese cubes, among other things. The resulting buns are super tasty - I really enjoyed them.

TWD - Bran-Berry Muffins

This week’s Tuesdays with Dorie recipe is Bran- Berry Muffins. I made the Cran-Bran variation to use up some frozen cranberries that I had.

These muffins are easy to make and super tasty. As their name suggests, they contain a small quantity of bran.

Don’t they look great!

 Here’s a peek inside.

TWD - Brioche

This week’s Tuesdays with Dorie (Baking with Dorie) recipe is Brioche. We have made brioche with Dorie numerous times before, so this is familiar territory. Brioche is easy to make, but you need to dedicate a significant amount of time to mix in all of that butter, several risings and an overnight chill in the fridge.

I probably left my brioche a tad too long in the oven, but it still tasted great.

On the day I baked it, I had a slice of brioche with icecream, blueberries and maple syrup for dessert.

I made the rest of the brioche into this pudding cake. See the layers below.

The pudding cake wasn’t pretty but it tasted amazing.
