A La Folie, South Yarra

Recently, I visited A La Folie, a  patisserie in South Yarra.  A La Folie specialises in macarons and petit choux, being little mini choux buns filled with crème patisserie.

Here is a peek at their luscious window display:

I opted for two flavours of petit choux - salted caramel and raspberry:

The petit choux are not cheap, at $3.50 each, but they were delicious bites of heaven for a special treat.  Unsurprisingly for those who know me, I liked the salted caramel the best.

My only lament is that it wasn't there when I lived in South Yarra!

A La Folie is conveniently located close to the corner of Chapel Street and Toorak Road, so do drop in if you get a chance.  The staff were very friendly and the pastries are like little jewels - a definite feast for the eyes.

The choux look like they have that crunchy top that I love so much! I love it as it keeps it crunchy :D

What impressive looking treats. I'm glad they delivered on taste too - it is always sad when things look beautiful but don't taste good!

That store is impressive! We need a true French style bakery around here. :-)
