We might be nearing the end of our Tuesdays with Dorie adventure, but there are still some really good recipes that we haven't made yet. Case in point - this week's Chocolate Chunk Muffins, chosen by Bridget of The Way The Cookie Crumbles.
These muffins are rich and chocolatey and more cake-like than muffin-like because they are relatively light in texture. This made me like them even more. However, they need more chocolate chunks - the amount suggested was a tad on the scant side.
What's not to like about a chocolate muffin containing chocolate chunks? Thanks to Bridget for this week's selection. Visit the LYL section of the TWD website to see what everyone else thought of these muffins.

These muffins look great! And, it's so strange to hear that TwD is nearing a conclusion. I can't even fathom that yet with ffwD! Great post!
Love these muffins too! amazing! gloria
These look fabulous!!!! I haven't gotten to these yet.
I added more chocolate chunks--delish!
I agree re the chocolate chunks-you want them peeking up through the top! :P
Your muffins look great! I like Dorie's idea of slathering on the jam.
This kind of chunky rocks! :)
I added extra and I am so glad I did! There is nothing better than a surprise of chunky chocolate in each bite.
They look great! Rich and chocolatey is a good thing! I just made mine!
I aded more chocolate chunks and I was glad I did. Yours look lighter than mine.
I'm with you on the lack of chocolate chunks, but these were still delicious. Yours look super-moist!
I added extra chunks and was so glad I did. Yours look great! :)
They look nice! I added more chocolate because I saw that other bakers didn't think the recipe had enough. I'm surprised that Dorie didn't call for a larger amount of chocolate!
I agree that they need more chocolate chunks inside! I accidentally added twice the chocolate inside, so I was afraid of getting too many, but they are a nice little addition.
These look delicious! These muffins are such a great way to sneak chocolate in the morning :)
Cute muffin, the guys were all loving these and they would have liked more chocolate chunks in them as well. Go figure. Next week, Scones with no chocolate...see you there!
I'm glad I never get around to baking until a day or two before Tuesday so I can see what the other bakers say on the P&Q section. When this group says something needs more chocolate, I definitely believe them and they turned out great with the extra chunks.
These look yummy, but I don't think I could eat them for breakfast. My husband, however, will eat anything chocolate at any time of day! I just never feel like eating anything chocolate (donuts, croissants, etc) first thing in the morning! Seems more like a teatime treat to me.
That is just about the most perfect looking muffin ever - love the domed top
