Another week, another Tuesday with Dorie! This week's challenge is Dorie's Sour Cream Chocolate Cake Cookies, chosen by Spike of Spike Bakes.
As was suggested on the forum, these cookies would make perfect icecream sandwiches, because they are flat and soft . However, the combination of winter and my need to be able to transport these to work meant that I left the cookies in their natural state.
These cookies look and feel a little like frisbies, but one bite and you are gone - they really are cake in cookie form, and taste so chocolatey and rich, you can't stop at one.
Spike will have the recipe or buy the book. And to see what everyone else made of these cookies, visit the LYL section of the TWD website.

Good point on the whole ice cream deal down there for you. They look fun all stacked up like that! That's saying a lot if I comment that chocolate looks fun, right? ;-) You did a great job on them.
Looks delicious (as always). I think we're in for 100-degree temps this week, so ice cream sandwiches would be perfect.
These cookies look delicious Cakelaw, gloria
They look nice! I didn't try these, but I like sour cream and chocolate together, so I bet they were tasty.
They sound like a must bake! :D
Little frisbies... how cute! :)
Mine weren't flat, they were pretty poofy. I made sandwich cookies and they were really great. I thought the cookies by themselves were a bit plain.
I am so intrigued by the name of these cookies, but they sound dangerous! My thighs are looking mighty thunderous at the moment LOL.
*kisses* HH
If I had to choose between cookies and cake it would be cake - so this sounds like just my sort of cookie
These look great. Mine came out a little thicker, and I definitely think the flatter ones would be better for ice cream sandwiches.
Mine weren't flat or poofy. Just somewhere in between.
Eating IC in the winter makes you warm. At least that's what I've heard!!
Nice stack of cookies! Glad they were a hit for you.
