For a change of pace, this week's Tuesday with Dorie features an Apple-Apple Bread Pudding, chosen by our host, Elizabeth of Cake or Death.This is like any other bread pudding, except with heaps of eggs and an extra apple middle.
You are supposed to spread the bread with apple butter, but I didn't have any, so I used marmalade instead - hence the apple-orange bread pudding.
This is how it turned out:
This would be a super pudding for a cold day - substantial and filling.

Apple and orange pudding sounds great, especially since I still have at least 6 jars of marmalade left from that DB challenge!

I really like the sound of using an apple butter on the bread-although it's hard to find in the stores. I guess it's an excuse to make apple butter! :D
Love the idea of apple in bread and butter pudding but I always cringe at the idea of lots of eggs - wonder if I would like marmalade in it - I don't like it on toast but love it in baking!!!!
Agreed that your flavour combination sounds wonderful! I wasn't a huge fan of mine.
Apple and Orange sounds great! The Lovely Wife loves bread pudding with lots of warm custard so maybe I should try this sometime!
