TWD - Buttery Jam Cookies

This week's TWD is hosted by Heather of Randomosity and The Girl, who has selected Dorie's Buttery Jam Cookies.

These cookies are easy to make, and although not the prettiest girl at the dance, they taste good. I used apricot jam in mine as suggested by Dorie.

If the test of how good these are is how quickly the punters made them disappear, they were delicious. Looks aren't everything after all.

Thanks to Heather for hosting this week. You can check out the other TWD members' take on thse cookies at the TWD blogroll.

Thank goodness looks aren't everything - these definitely were tasty. A bit different from the usual Dorie treat!

I am pleased that you liked the cookies. I agree, they're not that photogenic! I found them a bit bland

Butter and jam, two of my favourite flavours. How gorgeous! :)

I'm with you - they're not much to look at, but they taste good. I'd like them even better with a bit more jam mixed in, I think.

LOL about the prettiest girl at the dance. I was expecting NOT to like them, but I did. Glad I tried them, that's for sure.

What's a pretty girl with no Brain? A cookie without taste.

Yep...don't ever judge a book by it's cover, or a cookie by it's appearance.

We loved these cookies.

Thanks Caitlin - I agree, not usually what Dorie does.

Hi Tammy, these biscuits are sleepers - better the enxt day.

Thanks Lorraine :)

Hi Jayne, I'm with you - I like Tammy's idea of perhaps swirling the jam through to get contrasting colours.

Hi Pamela, me too - it's good to try different things.

Hi Ivy, LOL!

Glad you did HoneyB - these are keepers.

I bet they did Natalia - and my colleagues did too.

Hi Chocolatechic, too true.

Hi Blonde Duck, a virtual cookie for you! (Not as good as a real one, sady :().

Aren't Dorie's recipes great! I've just tried one of her brownie recipes, and they turned out fab. And I don't even like brownies, usually.

I'm sorry about the long silence. I've had to limit my time online for personal reasons. Anyway, if I don't stop by soon enough, have a great chrismas!

btw, I love the story of your 7 fishes feast :)

Hi Dee, I know what you mean - between an unreliable service and the fact that I am now on holidays, I haven't been around much either. Merry Xmas to you.

Thanks Jerri.

Hi Anonymous, thanks for dropping by and leaving such a nice comment.

Thanks Gloria :)
