FFwD - Goats Cheese Mini Puffs

Friday has rolled around again, and yes, it is French Friday with Dorie time.  This week's recipe was Goats Cheese Mini Puffs.  Luckily, I had a dinner party last weekend, so I had plenty of helpers to eat these puffs.

Basically, this recipe involves making choux buns and filling them with a goats cheese-based filling.  I didn't have any cream cheese, so my filling was 150g goats cheese, some chopped fresh chives (in lieu of herbed goats cheese), and enough cream so that the filling was smooth when beaten together with an electric mixer.

Et voila - you end up with a delicious little savoury that is so good, it is difficult to stop eating.

To see some more of these, visit the LYL section of the FFwD website.

Have a good weekend.

I agree that is helpful to have plenty of eaters on hand when these are around. Perfect party food...

These look so tasty! Wandered by here from Patty's blog because I was so intrigued to see all of the versions of this puff. You can bet I'll be making these soon :)

Quite tasty and addictive. Since it was just two of us I decided to freeze most of the batch for later. Thank goodness because I'm not sure I would have been able to stop eating them.

I needed eating helpers for this one. I made a half recipe, but there are more than two people can eat. Your puffs look great, and your guests were lucky to share with you.

Your Mini Gougères look lovely with a wonderful color and a great "puff" and I am sure that the addition of fresh chives is just a very tasty addition to the goat cheese filling! Have a great weekend!

Kudos to you for whipping up the fresh herbed cheese. I was contemplating how to accomplish this when Nana offered me her left over pre-made herbed goat cheese from BJ's. Voila indeed ! We loved these tasty little things as well - a real hit. Happy Thanksgiving !!

sound great - I had thought you were going to say you had lots of helpers to fill them - they look a little fiddly with all that filling but I am sure I wouldn't need many helpers to get through them

Your puffs look super tasty! I gave away most of mine (unfortunately I cannot eat them - lactose, gluten etc - to my brother in law and some of his friends who dropped by yesterday...

These are perfect to serve at a dinner party and I hope to make mine for Thanksgiving this week. I also think chives and cheese are a winning combination.

Good that you had company because these mini-puffs are difficult to stop eating. They are addictive. I think you made yours a bit smaller, a real mini. Mine were larger and not as delicate. Nice Post/
