I cheated and used bottled caramel sauce rather than wasting cream and time making my own.
This dessert is delicious. I made a serve for one. Go make it. That is all.

You were smart to make a serving for one...having this around is a dangerous threat to one's Responsible Eating Plan. It is way too tempting to just dip a spoon into every now and again as one passes through the kitchen. Your photo of it with the caramel edges looks so inviting. I made the sauce...it made an entire cup of it and she said you could frig it for use later but I ended up using most of it...I'm sure I should have been a little more judicious. Next time.
ReplyDeleteI know I would just keep eating it, so a single serve was the way to go.
Deletei like having a dessert all to myself!
ReplyDeleteIt feels quite special, doesn’t it.
DeleteI used the leftover sauce to make two mini crisps for us the next night. Love an individual dessert !
ReplyDeleteYour own dessert! 🥰. Smart thinking on the caramel, although for future reference this was a good caramel recipe! …but we did end up using more of it that we should have on the crisp haha
ReplyDeleteI am glad that your little substitutions worked out for you, less dishes too:) Yummy fall season is here.
ReplyDeleteYes, that’s one of the advantages of the cooler weather- comfort food!
