Today’s Tuesday with Dorie recipe is Portofignos, so called as a riff on the port soaked figs they contain and the totally unrelated Italian town of Portofino.
These biscuits are flavoured with cocoa, port, figs and walnuts. They also get depth from both brown and white sugar.
They bake up soft and are delicious.

Too bad, I have problems with fig seeds. This looks absolutely delicious
ReplyDeleteThese are good Ulrike. You could substitute other dried fruits, I think.
DeleteReally enjoyed these and found a quicker way to make them than slice and bake (which I always have issues with LOL!)
ReplyDeleteYes, these were good! I’ll have to check your other method.
DeleteThese were fun to make, and mine look like yours even though I used dried cherries instead of figs as someone here doesn't like figs and you didn't think I would be eating these as they are chocolate, right? Right. I must have done it okay if they look like yours! Nice plate.
ReplyDeleteDried cherries would be nice in these.
DeleteThese were a delicious treat.
ReplyDeleteYes Diane, agreed!
DeleteThese were a yummy surprise!
ReplyDeleteThey were!
