This week's
Tuesday with Dorie (Cookies) recipe is Goat Cheese and Chive Cookies. These are, as the name suggests, savoury cookies flavoured with goat cheese and chives.
I'll be honest - these were not exactly my cup of tea. I quartered the recipe and made 6 cookies. I think they'd be good perhaps with quince paste or cheese on top, but as they were, the didn't do much for me.
To se what everyone else thought of these cookies, visit the LYL section of the
TWD website.
Yeah, not sure I'd be loving these either! I don't think I could even coerce Bill into trying one :) You're a good sport for making a partial batch!
ReplyDeleteI like the sound of these and am sorry to hear they did not work for you
ReplyDeleteGood idea making only a quarter of these-I do that if I don't know if I will love a recipe!
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of Dorie's savoury cookies from other books so I was pretty sure I would like these. Glad I have 1/2 batch of the dough in my freezer still!
ReplyDeleteThe combo sounds pretty good to me, but not what I'd expect in a "cookie." Good thing you didn't make a whole batch; I do the same when not sure.
ReplyDeleteI am going to make these later in the month. I am a fan of goat cheese so I am hoping I will like them.
ReplyDeletethey look perfect though-- i wish i were there to take them off your hands! :)
ReplyDeleteYou get points in my book for baking them.
ReplyDeleteThey look delicious to me but then I happen to like goat cheese quite a bit. Looks like they came out beautifully browned I would gobble them up.
