TWD - Cocoa Crunch Meringue Cookies
For Tuesday with Dorie this fortnight, I made the first alternative recipe, Cocoa Crunch Meringue Cookies.
Dorie said I should get 8 cookies - I only got 5, but that's OK. These cookies were delicious - light, airy, crisp chocolate meringues sandwiched with luscious ganache:
I would make these again, but may double the recipe to get a few more.
To see what the other TWD bakers made this week and what they thought about it, visit the LYL section of the TWD website.
These were good weren't they!
ReplyDeleteThey were!
DeleteOoh, I need to check out this recipe! They may be Bill approved :)
ReplyDeleteLOL, he'll love 'em.
Delete5 bigger cookies sounds like no bad thing :D
ReplyDeleteThey look absolutely luscious! I'm glad you mentioned serving sizes, I will definitely double the recipe!
ReplyDeleteMother my husband and I agree that we would have liked to yield more. They were delicious!
ReplyDeleteYou can tell by the look that these cookies are crunchy and nutty. The variation of brown adds to the good look.
ReplyDeleteDear Gaye, just the perefect cookie with the crunchiness from the meringue and the sweetness from the creamy ganache!
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked them. I look forward to making them.
ReplyDeleteOh, those look yummy! I make those next time. :)
ReplyDeleteThey look lovely - crisp cookie, creamy filling. I'm looking forward to making them.
ReplyDeleteThey look lovely! I'm glad you commented about the yield--when I make them, I'll double the recipe.
ReplyDeleteGuys here would love these, better haul out the book and make them as we are down to two cookies in the cookie jar this morning and that's never a good thing. I will need to increase that recipe, however, lol. Nice photo.
ReplyDeleteI really really need to get back into TWD. I just haven't been baking as much.
ReplyDeleteTHESE look lovely. I could eat this with very little quilt.
Those look so good! I missed out on these, but I may have to catch up on them soon - I didn't notice that they made so few when I glanced at the recipe. No need to wait for when I'm feeding a crowd.
