FFWD - Lamb & Dried Apricot Tagine
For FFWD this week, our recipe was Lamb & Dried Apricot Tagine. Now this is my kind of dish! I love the fruit and meat combination, and the sauce was delightful.
I served my tagine with cous cous:

Sounds wonderful. xo Catherine
ReplyDeleteI haven't made anything in my tagine for ages but I really loved it when I did! Thanks for reminding me to use it :D
ReplyDeleteI keep meaning to try a tagine with dried apricots. I have only done them with dates but I love apricots so need to give this style a go!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, those chunks of meat looks so delicious and tender. I love a good tagine or curry in Summer.
ReplyDeleteI loved this, too! Bill was OK with it when all the sauce was removed :/
ReplyDeleteThis WAS delightful wasn't it? Kudos to you for making this in the height of summer!
ReplyDeleteLooks beautiful! Glad you liked it!
ReplyDeleteLooks delightful!
ReplyDeleteI have been looking forward to this dish for quite some time, but just couldn’t pull it off this week! Yours looks fantastic, and after all the great reviews, I can’t wait to make it!
ReplyDeleteI did get the Red Kuri soup made and loved it!
That is one beautiful dish, Gaye. I liked it every bit as well as you did. In fact I didn't share, did you? I made 1/2 the recipe and had two dinners and one lunch from it. Glad you enjoyed this.
ReplyDeleteWhat a winner! Glad you enjoyed it. Perfect for you as I always think of lamb as very Australian, though I have no idea if that is a correct notion.
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed it!
ReplyDeleteThese are the types of meals that I enjoy when the weather turns colder (although, it probably is not that way for you right now!)
It was delicious! Yours looks divine as well.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy your card arrived. I wish we had more warm weather themed ones here. :-)
I just served mine for dinner tonight. Delish!
ReplyDeleteI haven't made this yet but all the good reviews its getting makes me want to try it ASAP!
ReplyDeleteI have liked all of Dorie's stews and this one was no exception.

ReplyDeleteSounds really delicious, Gaye! Nothing beats a good dish like this.
ReplyDeleteYour stew looks good! I'm hoping to make it this weekend!
ReplyDeleteThis looks really good with lamb and apricots...I am not one to like fruit and meat (do you think we can ever sit down to the same table and enjoy the same meal??? lol) but this does look good and I would willingly give it a try. These things are supposed to broaden our horizons, right? Right. You did a nice job of plating it all.
