WWDH - Pasta with Tomato, Basil and Olives
For this week's Wednesday with Donna Hay, Margaret chose Pasta with Tomato, Basil and Olives from p18 of Off the Shelf.
This dish is simplicity itself to make - boil your pasta, make a sauce based on tinned tomatoes, mix them together and bingo!
It was delicious, and I think it would be great with chorizo. I was going to add chorizo, but I thawed the wrong thing from my freezer, so my version is vegetarian, as Donna intended it.
Check out what Margaret, Kayte and Chaya may have thought of this dish by visiting their sites.
It would be good with a little protein in it. Maybe a little chicken. But chorizo sounds good, too.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to try this with the chorizo!
ReplyDeleteLooks really good...I love her recipes as she gives a basic plan and then you can change it up so many ways. Keep it simple, or change it up...easy to do. Your photo is very nice of this.
ReplyDeleteSimple and delicious! I need to try adding olives to my tomato based pasta sauce...sounds divine!
ReplyDeleteHi dearLook really delicious!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great stand-by weeknight meal :)
ReplyDeleteThis sounds great, and I'm laughing about the chorizo. Pretty often, I pull something out of the freezer and spend quite a while analyzing it to make sure it's what I think it is!
ReplyDeleteTomatoes and basil are just made for each other, don't you think? This looks so good!
ReplyDeletelooks great - quite similar to a pasta sauce from a jar that I like except the sauce has chilli in it
