FFwD - Garlicky crumb-coated broccoli

When I saw this week's French Friday with Dorie recipe - Garlicky crumb-coated broccoli - I can't say that I was enthused.  Broccoli with garlic and breadcrumbs - so what, I thought.
Man, I under-estimated  this dish.  It is simple, but it is good!  You saute steamed broccoli with breadcrumbs and garlic, and it tastes AMAZING!

  1. Oh, rats, I was hoping you would not like this as I am waffling on making it...I keep thinking it is a horrible thing to do with my favorite of favorites, steamed broccoli. Really? Really? Well, okay...maybe. Maybe. If you say so.

  4. Glad you enjoyed. I must say, it was not simple to come up with a lot to say about broccoli :-) This one was definitely more a test of my mental prowess than of my cooking abilities.

  6. Ok, this is definitely going to be part of dinner tomorrow. My whiny boy might actually put a bite in his mouth and not whine or complain. Maybe.

  9. I must admit that I underestimated this dish as well. I was expecting another green bean and pancetta disappointment. But, I was so wrong! Glad you enjoyed them!

  15. I am with you - didn't think this would be bad at all, just not that amazing. Boy was I wrong. Nana and I both found this to be amazing. This will be a frequent repeat in our households.

  16. I was underwhelmed by the idea of it, but was surprised at how much flavour it had. Now I just need to get a zester or microplaner. Then it'll be even easier.
