FFwD - Sweet and Spicy Cocktail Nuts
It's funny, isn't it, how the simple things are often the best. This week's French Fridays with Dorie selection, the sweet and spicy cocktail nuts, couldn't be simpler. You coat two cups of nuts with egg white, sugar and spices, set the coating in the oven, wait for the nuts to cool, and there you have it - one of the best snacks ever.I made these for my Christmas boxes, but I am keeping the leftovers for me - these nuts are moorish and intoxicating. I would make these again in a heartbeat. To check out what the other FFwD dare-devils made, go to the LYL link for 17 December at the FFwD website.
I always love sweet and spicy combo and this looks delightfully nostopping crunch.
ReplyDeleteYour roasted nuts turned out so nicely coated! And, I love the colored ramekin. Very festive!
ReplyDeleteThese were so fabulous I am speechless.
ReplyDeleteI'm a little too scared to make this recipe. I have visions of my housemate and I inhaling them so fast we both choke and die simultaneously.
ReplyDeleteYou make them look so pretty and festive. I have got to take myself in hand and get FFwD done over the weekend so I can just post them all at once, I think, yes, I do, that's the only way they are going to get done this month! Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteThis look amazing! gloria
ReplyDeleteThese look dangerously good. :)
ReplyDeleteI wasn't quite sure about the sweet and spicy combo, but I should try these. They would be a great gift for friends.
ReplyDeleteThis is my favorite December recipe from FFwD. I plan to make more this weekend and give them as gifts.
ReplyDeleteThese sound so moreish! And I just wanted to let you know that I'll get you the soft salted caramel recipe. I'm just away at the moment! :)
ReplyDeleteThese nuts rock and are so good to graze on all day long! They look scrumptious!!
ReplyDeleteI made mine for gifts, too! Everyone loved them :)
ReplyDeleteThey look so pretty and I can't wait to make these since I have been reading everyone say how good they are! It will be nice to make something that doesn't take very long for next week.
ReplyDeleteHa, love your description of them as 'moorish and intoxicating'. These were too fun to make!
ReplyDeleteI have put off my christmas cooking until the last minute and I'm thinking you are onto something with the nuts for gifts. Well done!
ReplyDeleteI also made these for a small Christmas party I hosted and they were a huge hit! Yours look great!
ReplyDeleteSo many rave reviews I have to make these.
ReplyDeleteLook just perfect for Christmas boxes.
These look perfect! Glad you liked them! I was glad they were so easy!
ReplyDeleteWow, easy and delicious but I know I will not stop eating them if I make some.
ReplyDeleteI also made the cocktail nuts this week and ate them all!
ReplyDeleteMust make again!
Yours turned up pretty much like mine. I did separate each nut - it was worth it, although I would not have minded some brittle:)
