TWD - Blueberry Crumb Cake

This week's Tuesday with Dorie is hosted by Sihan of Befuddlement. She has chosen the Blueberry Crumb Cake.

What can I say - I am in love:

It's fruity, nutty, buttery and delicious - I loved it from the get go. It was easy to make, and the only thing that I would do next time is to line the bottom of the tin, because all of that fruit makes unmoulding a risky business.
I dedicate my Blueberry Crumb Cake to all the people who are victims of the Black Saturday Bushfires in Victoria. The blueberries that I used were frozen from the early summer, and I felt a pang when I realised that they had come from Kinglake, one of the towns that was razed by the bushfires:

To check out how everyone else went with this cake, check out the
Tuesdays with Dorie blogroll.

  11. I ADORED this cake and am currently trying to hold back from having another piece. Works great with margarine and soy milk for a diary free option.

  19. I cut mine right out of the pan, but I think I might do it a springform next time. That way it could unmold and not lose any of the yummy topping.

Sweet dedication to the fire victims; it's sobering to have a reminder of such as challenging time.

Hi Clivia, it was a little scary unmoulding it - but it survived intact.
