This week's Tuesday with Dorie recipe was chosen by Anne of Anne Strawberry, and is a Tall and Creamy Cheesecake. This delicious recipe has endless combinations - you can flavour your crust and filling as you please.
I chose to make a cherry coconut cheesecake, using Dorie's coconut crust and coconut filling with the addition of a cup of fresh pitted cherries to the filling.
This recipe was a breeze - I had no problems with it, and the end result was just devine. I could have easily eaten it all by myself, but the calorie count terrifies me, so I took it to work to share.
I probably won't be participating in TWD next week, as I will be away from home, but I wish the other TWDers well with what sounds like a delicious choice.
Happy New Year to the TWDers, the Daring Bakers and to all my readers!!!

Hi Marthe, I have to say that it was good - I had to take this to work so that I didn't eat it all!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lorraine :)
Hi Pamela, hope that you enjoyed it when you cut into it - I thought it was a delicious recipe, one of my TWD favourites.
LOL Blonde Duck - you and me both.
Thanks Caitlin - I remember your rice pud, and it looked so good - the cherries really dress up any recipe.
Hi Gretchen - I know, I should be able to stare calories fearlessly in the face, being a baker, but I am not quite there yet (although I eat some of everything I make).
Hi Chocolatechic, Aussies have a chocolate bar called Cherry Ripe, and this is reminiscent of that.
Hey Christine, thanks - I had more than I should have, 'cause it was good :)
Thanks Danielle, I can definitely recommend this combination if you are a cocnut lover.
Hi Leslie, it was outrageously good, and had to be given away for my waistline's protection ;)
Hi HoneyB, I got some teasing about the slice in the photo from two co-workers who snuck up behind me and started teasing about my less than impressive serving skills - but it tasted good :)
Thanks Kimberley.
Thanks Mangomissive - this cheesecake recipe is a keeper.
Thanks Jacque - this was a good recipe for being able to put your own stamp on it.
Ummm yumm looks and sounds terrific! Great work. I don't blame you on the whole calorie count thing. I shared mine with a wonderful neighbor with a heart of gold and skinny body. :-)
