EwE - Sesame Cous Cous

Our Eating with Ellie dish this week is Sesame Quinoa, chosen by Chaya.  However, I cannot eat quinoa, so I substituted wholemeal cous cous for the quinoa.  Toasted sesame seeds and scallions flavour the cous cous.

I liked this side dish - very simple, hardly a recipe, but good all the same.

nice simple idea for giving a side dish a little extra protein and interest

I always think of you when I make quinoa items! Luckily couscous can be subbed. Does it work in desserts too?

It was good, wasn't it? I have made this several times. Love the idea of using couscous. I will have to try that.

Hi Lorraine, I am not sure, but I'd be willing to give it a go.

You are so creative! Looks like the perfect sub. I do not care for cous cous or quinoa unfortunately!

It's the sides that are the best thing sometimes. I'm far more likely to use couscous rather than quinoa. Looks yummy!!

Sesame Quinoa sounds great, unless you don't like it, of course, but sesame cous cous sounds even better! YUM.

Sesame quinoa and sesame cous cous have to be two of my favorite things! YUM! Yours looks lovely. I will make this one over and over, so easy and delicious with ingredients I usually always have on hand!
