TWD - Vanilla Brown Butter Madeleines

This week's Tuesday with Dorie recipe is Vanilla Brown Butter Madeleines.  Madeleines are little sponge cakes in the shape of a shell.  Normally they are very plain and don't really impress me.  However, this version had a lovely flavour profile from the vanilla, browned butter and honey that they contained.  They are also quite pretty:

These are very pretty. I don't now if I've ever had madeleines but they always sound sophisticated.

How lovely! Your madeleines are delightful plus I love the addition of vanilla with honey and browned butter. Time to dust off those little used madeleine pans and create my own pretty cakes 8)

They’re so pretty and the flavours sound delicious. I am always afraid of brown butter: that it won’t be nutty but will be actually burnt!
