WWDH - Asparagus Tarts

This week, for Wednesday with Donna Hay, Kayte chose Asparagus Tarts from Modern Classics Book I

These tarts are as simple as can be - take a rectangle of puff pastry, top with trimmed asparagus and grated parmesan cheese, bake for 25 minutes or so and et voila - tarts!

These were easy and tasty - and perfect for Easter.  Check out what Kayte and Margaret thought of these tarts at their websites.

Great way to highlight the asparagus by keeping them whole!

This was such a fun recipe. It had caught my eye so many times and for some reason I never got around to choosing it, so I was happy to have the chance to finally make it. I cut a number of them in half and served them that way as these were large portions for one! Worked great. Yours look great and I was happy to hear you liked the recipe.

Kayte sent me the recipe for these and I was going to make them. I went to the market and asparagus was unaffordable. But there was a beautiful display of asparagus with a blank sign--I asked the manager about the asparagus. His comment was that it goes on sale tomorrow! Unlucky me! but I will make these soon.

I am so looking forward to making this one. I have all my ingredients but no time.

I love the combo of puff pastry and asparagus.
