Easter egg brownies

Unbelievably, I still have a few Easter chocolates in the house.  No wanting to waste them, I decided to make Lorraine's Easter egg brownies

I had an issue with some of the butter seeming to separate out and form a liquid layer on top during baking, but I poured it off and kept baking, and the brownies seemed fine.

Verdict - extreme chocolate experience, but ultimately delicious.

You still had Easter Eggs?! I'm pretty sure the supermarkets are close to bringing out next year's stock :P I think this is a very good use of them.

The concept of having easter eggs left over in October is completely alien to me ...can you explain what it means!?

I'm so glad that you liked them! I wonder why the butter did that? I didn't get that-perhaps it was from the chocolate itself? Who knows! :D

What a great idea to use up leftover candy! If only we had that problem of having leftover candy...can't seem to keep it in our house!
