Wednesdays with Donna Hay - Red Wine Osso Bucco

This week's Wednesday with Donna Hay offering is Red Wine Osso Bucco, chosen by Margaret.  I adore slow-cooked food, so this choice was right up my alley.

This picture ain't pretty, but when I tell you it is meat melting off the bone after being slow-cooked in red wine, it will make you happy:

I served my osso bucco with mash and beans.

To see what Margaret, Kayte and Chaya thought of this recipe, go visit them tomorrow.

This looks very delicious. I've been wanting to make an osso bucco for sometime, but I haven't had the chance. Hopefully, it will turn out as great as yours!

It's coming into that time of year when slow-cooking is very appropriate. This looks so delicious. I love Osso Bucco and Donna's recipe would be absolutely wonderful xx

I've had osso bucco once before in an Italian restaurant. Sounds absolutely gorgeous cooked with red wine!

This was good, wasn't it. I served mine with rice (altho pic is with toast) for all that lovely gravy!!!!

Hard to photograph but tasty. Glad you liked it!!

Sounds like a terrific choice that I missed. I hope to make it, in the future. Slow cooking is in especially with the weather warming up. It may not be a beautiful dish but it looks good enough to eat. That says it all.

I wasn't excited about this choice, but seeing yours is changing my mind...this is really delicious-looking. I love the sides you made to go with them also...all of it comfort food. Guess I had best make this and see for myself.
